Is this something for me?
MBSR is an intensive eight-week course designed to transform you relationship with stress and increase your well-being. Working with your own natural capacity to care for yourself, you will learn to deal more effectively with stress, pain, illness and the challenges of everyday life, leading to greater balance, ease and peace of mind.

What to expect
The program consist of eight weekly 2.5 hour sessions with a 7 hour class on week seven. Each session includes meditation, mindful movement, group dialogue, and home assignments to learn to cultivate attention and awareness in everyday life. Sessions are experiential and take place in a supportive group setting.

Class meets: Sep 29, Oct 6, 13, 20, 27, Nov 3, 10, with an all-day session on Saturday Nov 4th

MBSR has been shown to help improve your ability to cope more effectively with both short- and long-term stressful situations, reduce pain levels and enhance your ability to cope with pain that may not go away, increase your ability to relax, feel greater energy and enthusiasm for life and improve self-esteem.

nicole-flintermanThis course is taught by Nicole Flinterman. She has a background is in Clinical Psychology and is a qualified mindfulness instructor through the Center for Mindfulness, UMass Medical School, where  Jon Kabat-Zinn created the evidence-based MBSR program. Psychology, mindfulness and meditation and the intriguing working of the mind-body inform her work as a mindfulness educator and coach.
